Overview
Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology combines biological activated sludge treatment with submerged ultrafiltration (UF) membranes — replacing secondary clarifiers with a physical membrane barrier. The result is a consistently high-quality effluent (BOD <5 mg/L, TSS <1 mg/L, turbidity <1 NTU) in a footprint 30–50% smaller than conventional AS.
