Overview
Basiia engineers and packages the full spectrum of membrane and filtration-based water treatment systems — from coarse pre-filtration through to high-pressure reverse osmosis and nanofiltration. Our packages cover brackish water RO, seawater RO (SWRO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF), microfiltration (MF), sand filters, multimedia filters, and activated carbon filters — designed as standalone units or integrated treatment trains. Each package is engineered to the specific feed water quality, target permeate specification, flow rate, and site conditions of the project.

Engineered for Performance
Brackish Water RO (BWRO)
Low-pressure RO systems (10–25 bar) for brackish groundwater and surface water desalination — achieving TDS reductions from 1,000–10,000 mg/L feed to <50 mg/L permeate with 70–85% recovery. Polyamide thin-film composite (TFC) membranes in 4" and 8" elements, with antiscalant dosing and CIP systems.
Seawater RO (SWRO)
High-pressure RO systems (55–80 bar) for seawater desalination — producing potable or process-quality water from feed TDS up to 45,000 mg/L. Energy recovery devices (pressure exchangers or turbochargers) reduce specific energy consumption. Designed to WHO potable water guidelines and project-specific permeate quality targets.
Nanofiltration (NF)
Nanofiltration membranes for selective removal of divalent ions, hardness, colour, and organic matter — operating at lower pressures than RO (5–20 bar) with higher water recovery. Used for water softening, colour removal, and partial desalination where full TDS reduction is not required.
Ultrafiltration (UF)
Hollow-fibre or spiral-wound UF membranes (0.01–0.1 µm pore size) for removal of suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, and viruses — producing SDI <3 feed suitable for downstream RO membranes. Used as RO pre-treatment, surface water clarification, and MBR membrane modules.
Microfiltration (MF)
Microfiltration membranes (0.1–10 µm) for removal of suspended solids, turbidity, and microorganisms from process streams — operating at low transmembrane pressure with high flux. Used for pre-treatment, product clarification, and tertiary wastewater polishing.
Sand Filters & Multimedia Filters
Pressure sand filters and multimedia filters (anthracite, sand, garnet) for removal of suspended solids, turbidity, and iron from feed water — protecting downstream membrane systems and meeting process water quality requirements. Automated backwash with differential pressure control.
Activated Carbon Filters
Granular activated carbon (GAC) pressure vessels for removal of chlorine, chloramines, organics, taste, odour, and trace contaminants — protecting RO membranes from oxidant damage and meeting potable water quality standards. Reactivation or replacement service included.
Integrated Pre-Treatment & Post-Treatment
Complete treatment trains combining coagulation/flocculation, media filtration, cartridge filtration, antiscalant dosing, and pH adjustment upstream of membranes — with post-treatment remineralisation, pH correction, and disinfection for potable applications.
