Stacks & Vents
Engineered exhaust stacks, vent pipes, and atmospheric discharge systems for industrial air emission control.
Industrial exhaust stack and vent system — process facility
Overview
Basiia designs and supplies industrial stacks and vent systems for controlled atmospheric discharge of exhaust gases, process vents, and combustion flue gases across oil and gas, power generation, petrochemical, and water treatment facilities. Our stacks are engineered to dispersion modelling requirements, wind loading codes, and applicable emission standards — fabricated in carbon steel, stainless steel, or FRP depending on the service conditions. We supply self-supporting, guyed, and flange-mounted configurations with full structural, mechanical, and civil foundation design packages.
Typical Applications
- Combustion flue gas exhaust stacks for boilers, heaters, and generators
- Process vent and atmospheric relief discharge systems
- Biogas and landfill gas flare and vent stacks
- Chemical scrubber exhaust discharge stacks
- Emergency pressure relief vent systems
- Odor control system discharge stacks
- HVAC and ventilation exhaust risers
- Tank vent and conservation vent systems
Key Features
Engineered for Performance
Structural & Wind Load Design
Self-supporting and guyed stack design to ASME STS-1, EN 13084, or equivalent — including wind load analysis, seismic assessment, and vortex shedding evaluation for tall stacks.
Dispersion Modelling
Atmospheric dispersion modelling to verify ground-level concentrations comply with local air quality standards — stack height optimisation based on emission rates and site meteorology.
Material Selection for Corrosive Service
Carbon steel with internal lining, 304/316 stainless steel, duplex stainless, and FRP stacks available — material selected based on flue gas composition, temperature, and dew point analysis.
Flange-Mounted & Roof Penetration Stacks
Compact flange-mounted stacks for scrubbers, biofilters, and packaged units — with weatherproof roof penetration details, rain caps, and bird screens as standard.
Emission Monitoring Ports
Integrated CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) access ports, sampling nozzles, and platforms designed to EPA Method 1 and EN 15259 requirements.
Foundation & Civil Design
Reinforced concrete foundation design for free-standing stacks — including anchor bolt design, base plate engineering, and geotechnical load transfer calculations.
Applicable Standards
- ASME STS-1 (Steel Stacks)
- EN 13084 (Free-Standing Chimneys)
- ASCE 7 (Wind and Seismic Loading)
- EPA Method 1 (Emission Monitoring)
- EN 15259 (Air Quality Measurement)
- ASME B31.3 (Process Piping — vent connections)
- ISO 9001
