Emission Stacks Design & Engineering

Overview: Our engineering team specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of industrial emission stacks for air exhaust, scrubbers, and process ventilation systems.

We deliver custom-engineered stack solutions that ensure environmental compliance, structural reliability, and long-term performance under harsh industrial conditions.

Engineering Expertise: We design stacks to meet international standards such as ASCE 7, EN 1991-1-4, ASME RTP-1, ASTM D3299, and regional regulatory codes.

Our stack designs integrate aerodynamic, structural, and thermal considerations to ensure safe and efficient operation in chemical, petrochemical, salt-processing, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Design Parameters:

  • Gas flow rates: up to 100,000 m³/h
  • Material: FRP, stainless steel, carbon steel, or composite hybrid
  • Height: up to 80 m, modular or monolithic construction
  • Diameter range: 400 mm to 2,000 mm
  • Wind and seismic load design based on ASCE 7-22 / Eurocode EN 1991-1-4
  • Thermal and chemical resistance for acidic, saline, and corrosive gases

FRP & Composite Stack Solutions

For corrosive exhaust streams, we offer FRP (Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic) emission stacks with woven or filament-wound construction, resistant to acid vapors, chloride attack, and high humidity.

Our segmented FRP stacks (typically 6 × 10.5 m segments, Ø 850 mm, 10 mm wall) are connected by flanged joints with gasketed sealing, designed for easy transportation and modular erection.

Structural & Dynamic Analysis:

Each stack undergoes detailed finite element modeling (FEM) to ensure stability under:

  • Wind gusts, vortex shedding, and seismic accelerations
  • Thermal gradients and support stiffness variations
  • Anchor bolt pull-out and foundation overturning checks

We provide full RFEM or STAAD.Pro structural reports including:

  • Wind pressure contour maps
  • Mode shapes and natural frequency analysis
  • Foundation load summaries
  • Flange bolt and lug connection design

Fabrication & Installation

  • Shop fabrication with precise flange alignment and UV-resistant topcoats
  • On-site assembly and lifting supervision
  • Anchor system and base plate detailing for concrete pedestals
  • Optional gas sampling ports, drain connections, and access platforms
